Update by Lachlan Magrath September 12th

September 12th

Today, we planned to go to the biosphere, a nature, museum, with the theme of conservation, surrounded by a gigantic architectural masterpiece, a giant ball, made up of rods of steel. We had another laid-back morning, sleeping in to eight am. Once we had eaten breakfast, and packed out backpacks, we went out to the metro. We caught the metro to a small island, nearby the main island of Montreal. The island was really quiet, because of all it’s attractions being Summer ones. We walked over to the biosphere, where we bought our tickets, and we went in. The museum had a series of halls, that presented different ways we can protect nature, and addressed the issues that faced us, with global warming and pollution. My favourite hall was the water conservation, hall, with hands on interactive stuff, like obstructing and altering a flow of water, to get a mini model ship through the water. All the halls showed inspiring and creative ways to prevent pollution. After we had seen all these interesting exhibits, we caught the metro to a hop-on, hop-off bus stop. We caught the bus to a well-known shopping street in Montreal. We looked at a few stores like Footlocker, and Vanns. We spotted a street dance and music attraction, and saw all the acts that were there. Afterwards, we went into the underground city to have dinner at a pizza restaurant. After this we went back to our hotel room , and we settled down for the night.
