01/09/13 Today was our first day in the windy Chicago city. We woke up tired not having slept too well in the Majestic Hotel which we where sent away to last night because of a burst water pipe, (we got walked) as American's say. The breakfast was cereal with American toast which is sweet. We then left that hotel and went to the hotel we originally planned to stay in, the Residents Inn. When dropped our bags and went sight seeing we saw many old buildings and stores like a four level Nike store and an Apple store. After that we caught the subway to Logan Square with Dad's old work friend, Reuben, to a fresh food market that runs every Sunday. For lunch we had sausage sandwitches and tortillas. After lunch we went back to Reuben's house. We didn't stay too long because Lachlan and I were falling asleep due to the jet lag so we had to keep on moving. Reuben drove us back to our hotel in the city. We then went out to do some shopping. Then we went out for dinner at Dublins bar and grill. We then went back home and went to bed early because we were so tired. -Elliott Out
